Shaun Tait Joins Quetta Gladiators as Bowling Coach

Shawn Taunt

In a planned move following Shane Watson’s appointment as head coach, Quetta Gladiators have announced Shaun Tait as their new bowling coach ahead of the upcoming PSL season.  Tait, who played a key role in shaping Mohammad Hasnain talent, expressed his gratitude to Nadeem Omar for entrusting him with the responsibility of guiding promising young bowlers like the pace sensation, Mohammad Wasim Jnr, and Mohammad Amir. Having previously mentored these bowlers during his tour with Pakistan, Tait highlighted  the necessity of managing workload for fast bowlers, stressing the challenges of consistent performance across multiple formats.

During his time with Pakistan, Tait advocated for strategic use of fast bowlers and praised Hasnain incredible potential while emphasizing the need for utilizing his athleticism and maintaining an assertive on-field presence

The Gladiators’ decision to overhaul their coaching staff signals their commitment to break a four-season streak of missing the playoffs. Despite their past successes in the early editions of the PSL, reaching the final three times and securing the championship in 2019, the team aims for a fresh start under this new coaching setup.

Tait’s coaching journey takes a different turn as he joins the Quetta Gladiators, injecting his expertise into the team’s upgrading strategy for the February 8th to March 24th PSL season.
